8+ years of mechanical construction experience supporting utility-scale power generation or heavy industrial projects. Experience overseeing mechanical construction on simple-cycle or combined-cycle gas-fired power plants. Experience with gas turbine and generator installation, rotating equipment, piping, auxiliary systems, and mechanical balance-of-plant equipment. Experience with GE 7F-class gas turbine projects strongly preferred.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to provide owner's representative oversight of mechanical construction activities for a simple-cycle gas-fired power plant. This role will oversee EPC contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure mechanical systems and equipment are installed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and contract requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Serve as the owner's on-site mechanical representative, providing daily oversight of EPC contractor and subcontractor construction activities. Oversee installation of gas turbines, generators, rotating equipment, piping, auxiliary systems, and mechanical balance-of-plant equipment. Monitor contractor performance, construction progress, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence while identifying and resolving mechanical construction issues. Perform field inspections and walkdowns to verify installation requirements and identify deficiencies, non-conformances, punch-list items, and constructability concerns. Review mechanical work plans, procedures, drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), RFIs, and contractor deliverables. Coordinate mechanical interfaces with civil, electrical, I&C, and commissioning teams to support construction sequencing, mechanical completion, system turnover, and project milestones. Promote a strong safety culture by working closely with the EPC contractor and project EHS team to ensure compliance with site safety and environmental requirements.

Job Requirements :

Experience overseeing mechanical construction activities on utility-scale power generation or heavy industrial construction projects. Strong knowledge of gas turbine and generator installation, rotating equipment, piping systems, mechanical auxiliaries, and balance-of-plant equipment. Experience with mechanical QA/QC, field inspections, ITPs, NCRs, punch lists, equipment preservation, and construction turnover documentation. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment drawings, specifications, vendor documentation, and construction procedures. Strong understanding of EPC execution, contractor management, construction sequencing, mechanical completion, and turnover to commissioning. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other construction disciplines. Education /

Experience :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant field experience may be considered. 8+ years of mechanical construction, field engineering, or construction supervision experience supporting utility-scale power generation or heavy industrial projects. OSHA 30 certification required
