Job Description
Responsibilities Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for retail, restaurant, hotel, and hospitality projects. Prepare construction drawings, layouts, plans, details, and specifications. Develop HVAC and plumbing designs in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Coordinate HVAC and plumbing designs with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project disciplines. Assist with load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layouts, piping layouts, and system design. Participate in project coordination meetings and address design-related issues. Review construction documents and incorporate revisions as needed. Support senior engineers and project managers throughout the design and construction phases. Ensure drawings and design documents are completed accurately and within project deadlines. Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design. Experience working on retail, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality projects is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing design principles. Familiarity with commercial building systems, construction documents, and industry codes. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field. Experience with commercial MEP consulting or engineering firms. Familiarity with load calculation and HVAC design software. Knowledge of applicable mechanical, plumbing, and building codes.
