PM Description:
Client is a civil and structural engineering firm located in Alexandria, LA, specializing in high-voltage structures for substations and switchyards. We are seeking a?driven, organized, and solutions-oriented Project Engineer?to join our growing team. The Project Engineer will assist with scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. This role oversees engineering and technical disciplines, budgets, and deadlines for ongoing projects while providing additional engineering support as needed. This role is ideal for a?go-getter?who can manage projects while also stepping in to support engineering work when needed. The position requires working locally in Alexandria or relocating with assistance. Responsibilities Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects Define project parameters, assign responsibilities, and track progress Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications Assist leadership in preparing quotes and proposals for new projects Support project forecasting, scheduling, and resource planning Provide?hands-on engineering support and design assistance as needed Manage project budgets, timelines, and technical deliverables Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred) 3+ years of project management and/or engineering experience (Preferred) Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization, time management, and decision-making abilities Proven?problem-solving mindset and proactive ("go-getter") attitude Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with design and visualization software Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
