Bulk Chemical Terminals & Logistics Role Overview We are seeking an energetic, field-proven Project Engineer / Project Manager with a solid STEM background and a "boots-on-the-ground" mindset. In this multi-faceted role, you will own the full life cycle of terminal infrastructure projects, wearing every hat from end-to-end Project Manager to hands-on Construction Manager. You will manage a high-volume portfolio of small-to-midsize revamps and overhauls while serving as a key technical resource during early-stage scoping for major capital investments. Key Responsibilities •
Portfolio Management & Execution:
Maintain full ownership of a portfolio of 10-15 concurrent revamp, maintenance, and facility upgrade projects, balancing competing schedules, resources, and site priorities. •
Capital Project Leadership:
Take the helm on major capital expansion projects (up to $10M+), shifting to a dedicated single-project project manager role when managing large-scale infrastructure investments. • Pre-Identification & Front-End Loading (FEL): Serve as a core technical consultant during the pre-identification and scope definition phases for upcoming facility projects, helping refine business cases, estimate costs, and evaluate field feasibility. •
Scope Development & Engineering:
Translate operational needs into actionable engineering scopes for terminal assets, including storage tanks, piping systems, pump stations, rail/truck loading racks, and marine jetties. •
Contractor Management & Field Oversight:
Solicit bids, manage contracts, and directly supervise field contractors during execution to ensure strict safety, quality, and progress standards. •
Financial & Schedule Control:
Build project cost estimates, manage capital expenditure budgets, track commitments, and ensure projects cross the finish line on time and within budget. Qualifications & Requirements •
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Construction Management preferred). •
Experience:
3+ years of hands-on, field-based project delivery within bulk liquid terminals, midstream logistics, or petrochemical facilities. •
Versatility:
Comfortable balancing multiple fast-paced site revamps simultaneously, with the capacity and discipline to scale up and lead a major $10M capital build. •
Technical Knowledge:
Working knowledge of bulk chemical handling, piping (ASME B31.3), storage tanks (API 650/653), pumping systems, and loading logistics.
