Superior is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Broussard, LA (On-Site).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the planning and timelines of assigned projects. Delegates responsibility of tasks to appropriate coworkers and/or contractors to ensure effective project completion. Conduct regular meetings with clients and maintains action trackers to clarify requirements and communicate progress. Coordinate technical communication between internal and external parties to ensure project goals are met. Maintain project budgets. Monitor project performance and analyze completion of key goals. Provide leadership and recommendations to department's Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, operation, and product development. T ECHNICAL SKILLS
Excellent communication and leadership skills. Knowledge, competency, and experience in practical application of mechanical engineering practices. Working knowledge in core products and current practices, technology and materials used in the oil and gas industry. Fully proficient in MS Office software. Fully proficient in MS Project or other planning software. Proficient at reading engineering drawings and specifications. Familiar with manufacturing techniques. Proficient at developing and managing engineering development project timelines.

Make independent decisions but understand when to escalate issues. Provide direction, support, and assistance to other department personnel. Understand the business implications of decisions. Ability to direct, review and provide feedback to work performed by coworkers and contractors. Ability to project manage.
EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four‐year college or university required. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, project management and/or implementation of equipment (preferably in the oil and gas industry) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management training or experience preferred.
