Job Summary We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a strong technical background and a passion for innovative design. This role will contribute to a variety of exciting and challenging projects, from initial concept to final implementation. Responsibilities Oversee engineering teams designing structural and mechanical specifications around large industrial equipment. Create and oversee engineering teams engineering detailed 2D and 3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineers to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions. Ensure all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and feasibility studies to prototyping, testing, and final production. Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project execution. Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Qualifications ABET Accredited 4-Year Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.). Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage engineering teams across multiple projects and meet deadlines. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor employment visas now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred. PE license in the State of Louisiana preferred, PE pursuit acceptable. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required Experience in industrial processing equipment, such as, but not limited to: P&IDs, pressure vessel design, skid & piping design, or similar. Experience with project management and consulting. Knowledge of industry-specific codes and standards. Why Join Pelican Engineering?
