Job Description

Our client, a leading aerospace engineering and aircraft completions organization, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Aircraft Completions, Modifications, and
VIP/VVIP
Interior Projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

$50-56/hr What's the Job? Develop mechanical designs, engineering drawings, installation packages, and technical documentation for aircraft interior and structural modification projects. Design and analyze aircraft interior components including seating installations, monuments, cabinetry, galleys, lavatories, partitions, and structural assemblies. Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support structural integrity, material selection, and system integration requirements. Coordinate with certification, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and production objectives. Support troubleshooting, design reviews, aircraft surveys, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 7+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or a related industry. Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, or similar design platforms. Experience creating engineering drawings, technical documentation, and design packages. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and project coordination. What's Preferred? Experience with aircraft completions, modifications, MRO, or aerospace manufacturing environments. Familiarity with
VIP/VVIP
aircraft platforms such as Gulfstream, Boeing BBJ, or Airbus ACJ. Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and aviation certification requirements. Experience with aircraft interiors, cabin systems, monuments, or structural modifications. Professional Engineer (PE) license, EIT certification, or experience with PLM systems is a plus.
