Job Description

Manpower Engineering seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex mechanical design within the Energy/Utilities/Gas/Oil/Electric sector for our Engineering & Design team. You will own full lifecycle design of piping systems, rotating equipment, and pressure-containing components, performing advanced analysis to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Partner with multidisciplinary teams, interface with clients, and mentor junior engineers while driving innovation and best practices. Responsibilities Lead mechanical design for energy/utilities projects from concept through detailed engineering Perform calculations, FEA, and thermal analyses to ensure reliability and safety Ensure compliance with ASME/API and other applicable codes and standards Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers Support project planning, scheduling, and cost control Drive innovation and continuous improvement in design practices Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors on technical issues Required Skills Mechanical design (pumps, piping, pressure vessels) FEA and thermal analysis3 D CAD (Solid Works, Inventor, or similar) GD&T and detailed fabrication drawings ASME/API and relevant energy industry codes Reliability and safety engineering Project engineering and coordination Cost estimation and design optimization Technical report writing and documentation Team leadership and mentoring
