- What You Will Do
- Under limited supervision plan, organize, manage and execute designated engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. Perform
- detailed engineering design tasks
- for assigned projects, including calculations, drawings and specifications maintaining accurate records of design work and revisions throughout the project life cycle.
Develop and prepare technical documentation and reports to support design decisions and project requirements. Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions into overall project plans.

- What You Bring
- + Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline + 7 years of experience in engineering or related scientific field, including lead or supervisory experience, OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and 5 years of experience in engineering or related scientific field, including lead or supervisory experience + Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering + Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions + Skilled in managing large/complex engineering projects + Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions + Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards + Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing + Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification preferred •Preferred Qualifications•+ •Expertise designing, analyzing, and optimizing conveyor and bulk material handling systems for mining operations, including review of layouts, equipment selection, and performance evaluations for belts, idlers, pulleys, drives, take-up systems, crushers, feeders, chutes, and related equipment•+ Expertise performing conveyor belt sizing, capacity, throughput, and performance analyses and modelling bulk material flow, particle interactions, and material handling system behavior + Expertise with applicable industry standards and safety regulations including MSHA and OSHA requirements as well as mechanical and material handling design criteria + Expertise developing Mechanical and Material Handling deliverables such as Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Equipment Datasheets, Bills of Material (BOMs), and Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) + Expertise in Material Handling software (Belt Analyst, Ansys Rocky Particle Simulation, or equivalents) including ability to interpret results and develop design recommendations + Proficiency developing and contributing to development of scoping documents, P6 schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and estimates + Proficiency interfacing with database design software We are an equal opportunity employer.
