Mechanical Engineer Location:
Marlborough, MA (Hybrid:
Minimum 3 Days Onsite, Up to 5 Days as Business Needs Require)Pay:
Up to $46.50/hour We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support medical device development, design verification, and quality documentation activities within a fast-paced engineering environment. This temporary contract role is ideal for engineers with hands-on experience in medical device testing, Design History Files (DHF), verification protocols, and data analysis . Key Responsibilities Review and update Design History File (DHF) documentation to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements Conduct design verification testing, test method development, and validation activities Perform product feasibility testing, data collection, and technical analysis Operate Instron or equivalent mechanical testing equipment Develop engineering reports, specifications, protocols, and technical documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design gaps and implement solutions Communicate project progress, technical risks, and recommendations to leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of engineering experience in a regulated industry Experience working with Medical Device Design History Files (DHF) Experience with formal testing, validation, and data logging Hands-on experience using Instron or similar materials testing systems Strong problem-solving, technical writing, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment Preferred Experience Medical device verification testing and data analysis Test method development and validation Minitab or statistical analysis software Cross-functional project teams and integration activities Single-use medical device development Employee Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, and Pet Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Program Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance Candidates must reside in the New England area and be available for a hybrid onsite schedule in Marlborough, MA. This is a temporary contract position with potential for extension. The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
