R&D Intern - Summer 2026

As an intern at Saint-Gobain Research North America, you will be directly involved in R D projects within one of our material platforms: abrasives, ceramics, construction products, high-performance polymers, and technical textiles. You will work alongside our world-class researchers contributing to solutions in key development programs. You will have the opportunity to build a lasting professional network, attend lunch & learn training, and interact directly with our company executives. All of this allows you to gain the necessary skills and knowledge.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Currently enrolled as a student in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, Ceramics, Design, or Data Science or other related technical disciplines. Have a creative problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach Ability to analyze data and write reports Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills Work safely and effectively with a diverse R D team actively supporting a culture of safety Previous research/intern experience is a plus. Is this job for you? The R D Summer Internship Program starts on Tuesday, May 26 th , 2026, or Monday, June 1 st , 2026, and concludes on Friday, August 14 th , 2026. Selected candidates will be required to commit to the program dates. Internships are 100% onsite Monday through Friday 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for internship positions ranges from $21 to $30 per hour. However, the actual rate provided is determined by the students' classification in their undergraduate (freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior), Master's (1st year, 2nd year), and Ph.D. (1st year - 5th year) programs.
