Job Description
Title:
Mechanical Design Engineer Bearings Location:
Worcester, MA Full-Time | Direct Hire |Onsite The Opportunity:
- Design custom bearings and take them from customer requirements to production.
- This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who understands both mechanical design and manufacturing.
What You Will Do:
- Design custom bearing components and assemblies.
- Develop designs based on customer applications and requirements.
- Improve machining, stamping, tooling , and assembly processes.
- Develop manufacturing plans, work instructions, and engineering changes.
- Create and review engineering drawings using GD&T .
- Support tooling development and production launches.
- Work directly with Manufacturing, Tool Room, Quality , Sales, and customers.
- Lead projects from design through production.
- Improve cost, quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
What We Need:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on mechanical design and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience designing precision mechanical components.
- Bearing experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of machining, metal stamping, tooling, and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Understanding of DFMA and manufacturing processes.

Pay:
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:
