Satellite Communications Hardware Location:
Onsite Germantown, MD Duration:
1+ year contract with strong likelihood for extensions We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead hardware development for advanced satellite communications products from concept through production. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electromechanical hardware systems
- Perform CAD design, FEA, CFD, and thermal analyses
- Develop production-ready drawings using GD&T
- testing, validation, and design verification activities
- Drive design for manufacturability and cost optimization
- Collaborate with electrical, RF, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Support products throughout the full lifecycle
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- CAD proficiency (Creo, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Experience with FEA, CFD, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
- Hardware testing and validation experience Preferred
- Satellite communications experience
- RF hardware or antenna systems
- Electronic packaging
- EMI/EMC considerations
