Mechanical Engineer (Senior) Company Summary Innovatreat designs, manufactures, sells, and services decentralized wastewater treatment process equipment for nutrient removal and water reuse and recycling. Innovatreat is committed to innovation and continuous improvement in providing better solutions for its customers and cleaner water for the environment. Founded in Owings Mills, MD to provide solutions to meet the Enhanced Nutrient Removal requirements of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, the Company has expanded to deliver its cutting-edge technologies to the North American water infrastructure market. Position Summary The Mechanical Engineer (Senior) will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical processes and systems for our innovative miniMBR® technology.

Full time, Salaried Position Job Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical systems and components for biological wastewater treatment facilities utilizing MBR technology, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Collaborate with electrical engineers, controls engineers, process engineers, technicians, and designers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into project designs. Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations of existing equipment and systems, identifying areas for improvement and proposing cost-effective solutions. Perform detailed design calculations, feasibility studies, and simulations to validate system performance and optimize overall efficiency. Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals. Prepare mechanical submittals. Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to ensure smooth execution of mechanical designs and troubleshoot any issues during the manufacturing process. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and advancements in wastewater treatment technologies, specifically related to membrane bioreactor technology. Participate in field visits, providing technical support and guidance to installation, commissioning, and maintenance teams. Supervise designers Perform other duties as assigned. Job Skills Strong knowledge of equipment, hydraulics, piping systems, electromechanical systems, and instrumentation. Familiarity with membrane bioreactor technology, wastewater treatment processes, and automated control systems is preferred. Proficient in using SolidWorks 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for mechanical design and drafting. AutoCAD or equivalent 2D proficiency is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical design challenges. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information. Self-starter; Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks for multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proven 5+ years of experience in process equipment manufacturing or mechanical design. Must be US citizen or permanent residentJob Type:
