What You'll DoSupport tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturability and robust production processesMonitor tool construction progress and ensure alignment with program requirements and standardsCoordinate tool tryout activities and support die prove-out to achieve dimensional quality and run-at-rate targetsIdentify and resolve tooling issues impacting timing, quality, or manufacturabilitySupport build events, PSW readiness, and key launch milestonesTrack tooling risks, including Yellow Items, and drive resolution activitiesCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and tool shops to ensure tooling readinessDocument tooling concerns and support corrective action implementation What You BringStrong background in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die developmentExperience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processesSolid understanding of die build, tryout, and production readiness requirementsAbility to identify tooling risks and support resolution strategiesExperience working within structured tooling or launch processes (such as STS or similar frameworks)Strong technical problem-solving skills and clear communication abilitiesPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)Experience supporting automotive program launchesFamiliarity with global tool shop operationsUnderstanding of dimensional validation and part quality requirementsExposure to continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing methodologies Why This Role Stands OutThis is more than a tooling role-it's an opportunity to directly impact production success, influence launch performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a highly visible position.
