Summary Hemlock Semiconductor Operations is seeking Mechanical Engineering students for summer internship positions at our manufacturing facility in Hemlock Michigan. Interns are assigned challenging projects that provide hands-on, practical work experience that is aligned to the student's current level of coursework and skills.
These projects support improvements in:
Safety Quality Productivity Sustainability Cost Essential Functions Students will be assigned into one of the the following areas Reliability Engineering Intern
  • Assist Reliability engineers with supporting our manufacturing teams by executing projects that increase process reliability and online time. Manufacturing Engineering Intern
  • Assist Manufacturing engineers with process optimization efforts to improve yield, maximize throughput, maintain quality, increase safety and efficiency. Process Engineering Intern
  • Assist Process Engineers with developing new technology and providing support to manufacturing to solve problems and implement improvements. Project Engineering Intern
  • Assist Project engineers with supporting our manufacturing teams by executing projects that increase process capacity, capability, safety and efficiency.
Educational Requirements High School Diploma Preferred Field of Study:
Mechanical Engineering Intern must maintain the following: The candidate must attend a 4-year university and pursue a certificate or degree in a similar field of study Minimum cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale Must be full-time student (12 or more credits) during fall and winter semesters The candidate must be able to work full time during the duration of the summer internship The candidate must be within driving distance to the site and have reliable transportation Preferred Work Experience Intern/Co-op experience in relative field of study Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education.
