Up to 25% preferred Position Summary We are seeking a Design Engineer to support the design and development of automotive components from initial development through production release. This position will be responsible for new product technical design, design changes on existing programs, feasibility evaluation, design reviews, and production release. Key Responsibilities Manage product design activities throughout customer development phases through production release. Review design packages for fit, form, function, and GD&T requirements. Coordinate engineering release and sign-off activities according to project timing. Participate in design reviews and evaluate designs for manufacturability. Track and document design changes and design review results. Work with engineering and design teams to address customer requirements. Identify potential design issues, recommend corrective actions, and resolve technical conflicts. Ensure released design data meets customer requirements and applicable standards. Qualifications Automotive component design and development experience preferred, particularly with headliner/overhead systems, door trim/soft trim, dash insulation, or acoustics. Strong knowledge of
CATIA V5, CAD, 3D
GD&T, part tolerancing, and data management . 5 years of applied
CATIA V5/CAD
experience involving surface, 3D, assembly part, and drawing design required. Experience developing products from concept through production release preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to design changes. Ability to identify and resolve technical design issues. Business-level English required; business-level Japanese is a plus . Associate degree or equivalent training and experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
