Job Description

Design and develop vehicle wiring harnesses for electrical and electronic systems. Create and maintain wiring schematics, circuit diagrams, and harness drawings. Develop harness routing, packaging, branch locations, connector selections, and attachment strategies. Work with high-voltage systems, including HV battery, charging, inverter, and power distribution where applicable. Select and validate connectors, terminals, wires, seals, clips, grommets, and protective materials. Perform electrical calculations including wire sizing, current capacity, voltage drop, and fuse/circuit protection. Collaborate with electrical architecture and component engineers to define circuit requirements. Coordinate with vehicle packaging teams to ensure proper harness routing and clearance. Support DFMEA, DVP&R, design reviews, and electrical validation. Investigate and resolve harness-related issues identified during prototype build, testing, and production. Support prototype and vehicle builds, including harness installation and troubleshooting. Work with suppliers to review harness designs, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing feasibility. Support ECR/ECN and change-management processes. Ensure designs comply with applicable automotive standards and OEM requirements. Support manufacturing teams with harness assembly, routing, installation, and serviceability concerns.
Pay:
$88,780.69 - $100,000.00 per year
