Vehicle Automated Test Equipment Engineer The Panther Group Inc - 3.2 Sterling Heights, MI Job Details Contract $58 - $65 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Productivity software Full Job Description Automated Test Equipment Engineer We are hiring an Automated Test Equipment Engineer for our client located in the Sterling Heights, MI, area. The person hired for this position will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and delivery of specialized automated test equipment used to validate and verify the functional performance of complex hardware systems. Responsibilities Develop hardware interface schematics, electrical designs, cable drawings, and material part lists. Develop automated test equipment software routines using LabVIEW . Develop test strategies, devices, systems, and supporting documentation. Design new test equipment components and improve existing equipment. Integrate and assemble automated test consoles, equipment, and associated cables. Verify test equipment and software against product requirements and specifications. Develop test reports using captured test data and LabVIEW. Coordinate material build kits and support technicians with test equipment fabrication and assembly. Perform hardware and software code reviews and assist with troubleshooting. Support engineering and quality reviews for test equipment and test software. Operate and troubleshoot a variety of electronic test instrumentation. Work closely with engineering team members to ensure products meet technical and performance requirements. Maintain and organize associated engineering laboratory equipment and workspaces. Perform analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of test equipment and components. Apply strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering , or a related field. 7+ years of applicable engineering experience . Hands-on experience with LabVIEW . Experience with GPIB, USB, LXI, and PXI instrumentation and communication buses. Programming experience with C++, Python, or Visual Basic is a plus. Experience operating electronic test equipment, including: Power supplies Electronic loads Oscilloscopes Digital multimeters (DMMs) Function generators Data acquisition systems (DAQs) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, OneNote, and PowerPoint . Experience working with complex hardware systems or vehicle systems is a plus. Ability and willingness to travel domestically as needed; travel is not required for the position.
