Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer Clean Air Products is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role is responsible for the design of cleanrooms and related equipment. Candidate must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver. Engineers manage multiple projects at a time. Projects generally vary from one to the next, therefore our engineers must thrive on variety and taking on new challenges. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design products that comply with customer specifications and organizational guidelines while ensuring they are workable and manufacturable
- Create detailed part and assembly drawings using SolidWorks
- Create accurate ERP bills of material, including item data, for use in production
- Collaborate with all departments in the plant to ensure that the drawings convey the needed information.
- Work with customers and engineering team members on solving technical problems and training
- Maintain PDM data for assigned product family.
- Other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Essential to the Position
- Knowledge of SolidWorks - sheet metal and AutoCAD a plus
- Project management skills
- Reliability is a must
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated by past work experience and/or hobbies
- Must be able to work alone, with very little guidance, and collaboratively, as a team member, to suggest ideas and resolve issues in a positive manner
- ERP/MRP experience a plus Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Associate Degree preferred but not required. Relevant experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience with SolidWorks
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Working Hours 8-4:30 M-F, with some optional overtime
