Job Description:
Mechanical Engineer Position Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder, No Visa Sponsorship is Availble We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and enhancement of mechanical assemblies used in electro-mechanical actuator systems. This position focuses on creating reliable, high-performance mechanical solutions through hands-on design, analysis, testing, and cross-functional collaboration. The role plays a key part in improving product performance and supporting production through advanced troubleshooting and validation efforts. Key Responsibilities Design, engineer, and refine mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for electro-mechanical actuator systems Develop 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and supporting technical documentation Conduct tolerance analyses, select appropriate materials, and apply engineering calculations to ensure durable and reliable designs Support prototype fabrication, testing, and validation, including documentation and analysis of test results Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in both prototype and production hardware through root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation Work closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and product longevity Participate in supplier collaboration, including design reviews, feasibility assessments, and production readiness evaluations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development, preferably involving electromechanical, actuator, or motion-control systems Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), including creation of detailed drawings and application of GD&T Solid knowledge of mechanical systems such as gears, bearings, linear motion components, and load analysis Experience with mechanical testing methods, measurement tools, and product validation Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and supply chain Strong analytical thinking, documentation skills, and structured problem-solving abilities Hands-on mindset with experience evaluating and troubleshooting physical prototypes Preferred / Additional Skills Experience with actuator technologies, motor-driven systems, or motion-control mechanisms Familiarity with FEA or mechanical simulation tools Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, or casting Exposure to reliability engineering practices, FMEA, or formal problem-solving methodologies What We Offer Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits A collaborative and technically driven engineering environment Opportunities for professional growth in a fast-paced, customer-focused organization The chance to make meaningful contributions and grow within a successful privately held company
