Manufacturing Project Engineer Forest Lake, MN | 6+ Month Contract | $45.00-$65.00/hr Konik is partnering with a leading product development and manufacturinganization seeking to add a Project Engineer to support the design and development of off-road vehicle systems. This role will provide technical leadership across engineering programs, contributing to product design, cost management, and cross-functional execution from concept through production. This is an opportunity to work on highly visible, consumer-facing products in a fast-paced environment w engineering decisions directly impact product performance, customer experience, and market success. Project Engineer Responsibilities Lead and support engineering programs from concept through production, ensuring alignment on cost, schedule, and performance Influence the design of mechanicalponents and systems to improve product performance, quality, andpetitiveness Develop and evaluate innovative design concepts based on customer needs and market insights Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and supply chain to execute development efforts Manage project costs including bill of materials, tooling, and development resources Coordinate development activities including design, testing, prototyping, and validation Participate in design reviews to ensure alignment across engineering and business objectives Benchmarkpetitive products, materials, and processes to inform design decisions Analyze field performance and rmend design improvements or corrective actions Project Engineer Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of experience in product development or mechanical design Experience working on consumer products or high-volume manufactured products preferred Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and design processes Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Creo/Pro-E or similar preferred) Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced development environment Strongmunication skills and ability to contribute in team settings Additional Role Details Hands-on role supporting full product lifecycle from concept through launch High visibility within engineering teams and product development programs Opportunity to influence product performance and customer experience Collaborative, team-oriented engineering environment
