Qualifications and responsibilities for this Tool Designer position include: Minimum 3+ years of experience in tool design for plastic injection molding Design precision molds and tooling using SolidWorks while following detailed engineering specifications Communicate directly with customers to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs Create and manage bills of materials for tooling components Source and obtain quotes for mold bases and other mold components from suppliers Collaborate with CNC operators and toolmakers to ensure proper manufacturing of designs Maintain familiarity with vertical mills, surface grinders, and manual lathes to support tooling development Troubleshoot tooling and design challenges to ensure manufacturability and production efficiency

Salary:

$25 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
