PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an aplished Senior Mechanical Designer - Capital Projects to support a globally recognized pharmaceutical industry leader. What You'll Do
As the Mechanical Design discipline lead, you will play a key role in the successful execution ofplex engineering projects from concept throughmissioning and closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design activities for large-scale capital projects supporting multiple sites and business units.
Developprehensive mechanical design packages including:
3D models and virtual plant layouts
Equipment arrangements
General arrangement drawings
Fabrication and installation details
Equipment supports and access platforms
Create safe, efficient, and constructible designs that meet project, operational, maintenance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Coordinate design interfaces with piping, structural, electrical, controls, and instrumentation disciplines.
Lead design reviews, model reviews, clash detection activities, and constructability assessments.
Provide technical leadership and oversight to contractors, consultants, vendors, fabricators, and installation partners.
Support field verification, construction activities,missioning, startup, and resolution of design-related issues.
Develop and maintain mechanical design standards, specifications, templates, libraries, and CAD3D design tools.
Review and approve drawings and models for technical accuracy,pleteness, and quality.
Present project scope, technical solutions, design decisions, risks, and status updates to project teams and leadership.
Mentor less-experienced designers and promote consistent engineering and design best practices.
Ensure all design deliverablesply with applicable codes, standards,pany requirements, and project specifications.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Design, Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent education and experiencebinations will be considered.
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible mechanical design experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, process, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, or similar facility projects.
Advanced proficiency with 2D CAD and 3D modeling platforms used for plant design, equipment layout, and mechanical detailing.
Experience developing:
Equipment arrangements
General arrangement drawings
Facility and plant layouts
Equipment support details
Installation and fabrication packages
Strong understanding of:
Mechanical design principles
Equipment layout and arrangement
Materials and fabrication practices
Installation methodologies
Industry codes and standards
Ability to interpret engineering specifications, process documents, vendor drawings, technical calculations, and field information.
Demonstrated experience leading design reviews and resolvingplex technical issues.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strongmunication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed for project support.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, chemical processing, food and beverage, refining, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, CADWorx, or similar plant design software.
Experience supporting large capital projects and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Background inmissioning support, field implementation, constructability reviews, and clash detection.
Experience utilizing laser scanning, point clouds, or existing-condition verification tools.
Proven experience mentoring designers and supporting engineering best practices.
Experience developing engineering standards, specifications, templates, and design procedures.

Pay Details:
$91.68 per hour
