Job Title:

Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to perform 3D scanning of bolt-on accessories for trucks. This role involves using a turntable and a 3D scanning gun to create detailed 3D images of parts, which will then be used in assembly manuals and customer renderings. The ideal candidate will work full-time on scanning tasks, with the potential to assist in final 3D modeling if they possess the necessary skills. Responsibilities

• Perform 3D scanning of truck accessories using a turntable and scanning gun.
• Prepare parts by placing them on a turntable and applying stickers for scanning.
• Create and save 3D images, then email them for further processing.
• Complete approximately 15-20 parts per day after training.
• Assist in final 3D modeling if backlog is cleared and skills permit. Essential Skills
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D modeling.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to learn new software quickly and efficiently.
• Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office, especially Outlook.
• Entry-level experience with a focus on building a resume in engineering.
• Professional demeanor and punctuality are crucial.

Work Environment The position is located in St. Joseph, MO, within a typical manufacturing environment. You will spend most of your time on the manufacturing floor. The culture is supportive, with many engineers having 2-5 years of experience. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and a polo. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Joseph, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr.
