$55-80k Mechanical Engineer Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a respected local client. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional who enjoys design, analysis, and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.Salary:
$55,000 - $80,000 annually, DOE (Depending on Experience) Position Summary The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies, engineering analysis, manufacturing documentation, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering and manufacturing teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and create 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies. Analyze various physical properties of components and mechanical systems. Produce manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions and geometric tolerances (GD&T). Interpret and create detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings. Document engineering and manufacturing processes. Track labor time and support process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. Maintain engineering documentation and project records. Continuously develop and upgrade professional skills to improve performance, utilizing both company-sponsored and self-directed training opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field. Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D CAD design. Ability to interpret, create, and maintain manufacturing drawings. Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Microsoft Project preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Preferred Attributes Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong organizational and time management skills.
