Job Summary The Electrical Equipment Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle operation, troubleshooting, technical optimization, and safety compliance of production automation electrical systems and plant-wide high/low-voltage power distribution systems for solar cell manufacturing. This role covers PLC control, servo drive, industrial communication, temperature process control, high/low voltage substation, transformer, UPS, emergency diesel generator, and workshop power distribution systems. The position handles hidden electrical anomalies, program logic failures, power fluctuation and sudden power incidents, ensuring stable 24/7 operation of production lines and cleanroom facilities. Duties Daily Electrical Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting Maintain and troubleshoot low/high-voltage circuits, VFD inverters, servo drives, temperature control modules, power supplies, relays, and contactors. Resolve sensor failure, photoelectric abnormality, IO damage, wire aging, short circuit, electric leakage, and loose connection issues. Quickly recover communication failures of PROFINET, RS485, and Ethernet including network disconnection and offline station errors. PLC & Automation Logic Management Monitor and troubleshoot PLC logic for Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron systems. Resolve program freeze, logic stuck, interlock errors, and automatic mode failure. Perform regular program backup and version control to avoid program loss or version confusion. Servo, Motor & Process Temperature Control Complete servo homing, torque/speed/position parameter calibration and optimization to guarantee precise equipment motion. Maintain and calibrate thermocouples and temperature controllers for high-temperature processes including diffusion, annealing, and PECVD. Stabilize electrical and thermal parameters to prevent batch production defects caused by electrical or temperature drift. High/Low Voltage Utility System Operation & PM Maintenance Conduct 24/7 inspection, parameter recording, monitoring, and standard switching operation for high/low voltage substations, transformers, switchgears, DC panels, UPS systems, emergency diesel generators, workshop power distribution cabinets, and facility lighting systems. Execute electrical preventive maintenance (PM): annual voltage withstand testing, relay protection calibration, busbar fastening, cable temperature inspection, and grounding system testing. Establish complete electrical equipment ledgers, maintenance records, and spare part inventory files. Power Failure Emergency Response Respond to sudden power incidents including short circuits, breaker tripping, grid voltage fluctuation, UPS failure, and generator switching abnormality. Restore power rapidly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of cleanroom and production lines. Electrical Optimization & Cost-Down Improvement Rectify unsafe wiring and hidden electrical hazards to eliminate short circuit, leakage, and fire risks. Add error-proof sensors, safety interlocks, and alarm mechanisms to reduce wafer breakage and equipment accidents. Carry out electrical spare part optimization, alternative replacement, localization upgrade, and cost-saving projects. High-Risk Operation & EHS Compliance Strictly implement power-off verification, LOTO lockout-tagout, hot work permits, and other high-risk operation procedures. Perform regular electrical hazard inspection and closed-loop rectification. Coordinate with EHS for electrical fire inspection, lightning protection testing, and annual power system compliance audits. Power Renovation & Project Acceptance Support plant capacity expansion, power distribution upgrading, new equipment power connection, and electrical modification projects. Supervise construction work, follow up debugging progress, and complete project final acceptance. Documentation & Vendor Communication Compile and update electrical SOPs, maintenance specifications, and power-off operation standards. Coordinate with OEM vendors to resolve program bugs and electrical hardware defects. Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation-related majors. Preferred experience in PV solar cell factory electrical and utility system maintenance. Candidates with automated production line or semiconductor electrical maintenance experience are acceptable. Outstanding fresh graduates with solid circuit and PLC basic knowledge are trainable. Proficient in reading electrical schematic drawings and familiar with industrial wiring standards. Familiar with servo drives, inverters, temperature control systems, sensors, and industrial communication protocols. Capable of PLC online monitoring, IO troubleshooting, logic analysis, and basic parameter modification. Familiar with high/low voltage power system operation, UPS and generator maintenance, and electrical safety compliance. Strong logical thinking ability to quickly locate hidden electrical faults. Able to work under pressure and provide 24/7 on-call emergency support. High safety awareness with strict compliance with electrical operation regulations.
