Mebane, NC Job Summary We are seeking an experienced R D Senior Engineer with expertise in Medium-Voltage (MV) Reclosers and electrical power equipment. This role will contribute to product development, technical problem-solving, engineering validation, product reliability, and global compliance activities. The engineer will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams across the U.S., Mexico, Germany, and the Czech Republic to develop and validate solutions for medium-voltage distribution products. Responsibilities Maintain recognized technical expertise in Medium-Voltage (MV) Reclosers , incorporating current technologies, engineering tools, and methodologies into product development activities. Collaborate with manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Mexico, Germany, and the Czech Republic to identify solutions to complex technical problems. Develop engineering hypotheses and define appropriate methods to validate proposed solutions. Document engineering activities, including technical findings, designs, and software, to support ongoing product maintenance and improvement. Identify potential intellectual property (IP) opportunities and contribute to project IP strategy development. Ensure product designs comply with applicable

IEEE C37.60, IEC 62271-111, ANSI

, and other relevant industry standards. Support UL, CSA, and IEC certification activities and help ensure products meet applicable global compliance requirements. Conduct root-cause analysis, design reviews, and reliability engineering activities to maintain product quality and reliability. Support continuous improvement and product development activities for medium-voltage electrical equipment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field . 8+ years of experience in the electrical power equipment industry. Experience designing electrical equipment such as reclosers, circuit breakers, outdoor overhead distribution products, contactors, switches, or similar equipment . Working knowledge of dielectric, thermal, and structural simulation software . Knowledge of applicable

ANSI, IEEE, NEMA, UL

, and related industry standards. Existing U.S. work authorization permitting employment with the end client . Preferred Qualifications Experience with Medium-Voltage electrical product design . Experience specifically with MV Reclosers or overhead medium-voltage distribution products. Experience supporting product certification and compliance activities involving UL, CSA, or IEC standards.
