Mechanical Engineer DIrect Hire Salary:
$70,000 - $78,000 (Graduates with 2 years of experience welcome to apply)
Hours:
8am - 5pm
Location:
Statesville, NC Work Authorization:

POSITION OVERVIEW
ProStaffing is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to research, develop, design, and test mechanical components and equipment. This role works closely with manufacturing operations to translate product requirements into practical, manufacturable designs and to evaluate new or modified equipment for performance and feasibility.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Analyze product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to develop designs compatible with existing manufacturing processes and capabilities. 2. Evaluate the feasibility of new equipment designs or facility modifications based on cost, available space, timing, company plans, and technical/economic considerations. 3. Provide technical guidance on manufacturing methods, materials, material properties, and process capabilities or limitations that affect long-range plant and product engineering. 4. Work with operations to resolve manufacturing concerns and develop designs that meet overall product intent. 5. Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics using SolidWorks/CAD. 6. Assign part numbers and enter item information into SAP. 7. Create and maintain bill-of-material structures and costing information in SAP. 8. Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for new or modified products and equipment. 9. Plan and develop experimental test programs; analyze results to verify functional and performance specifications. 10. Collaborate with research and engineering personnel to develop required design modifications. 11. Evaluate engineering test results for potential application to system development and other uses. 12. Provide additional engineering support as needed.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND 1.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. 2. Two to four years of related engineering experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Hands-on SolidWorks and CAD experience. 4. Ability to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of the position, including technical analysis, design documentation, testing, and cross-functional problem solving. #PSDH
