This role is pivotal in guiding our cutting-edge tooling operations and plastic injection molding processes into new markets and innovative applications. Responsibilities Lead and manage tooling operations and plastic injection molding projects. Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$75,000 - $105,000 annually, based on experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing mechanical systems and components that meet project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software, and experience with manufacturing processes. Your contributions will directly impact the development of cutting-edge products and solutions across various industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical product designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Perform tolerance analysis and mechanical drafting to optimize manufacturability and assembly processes. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulations to validate mechanical designs under operational conditions. Create schematics, mechanical drawings, and detailed technical documentation aligned with ASME codes & standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to integrate mechanical components into complex systems. Lead mechanical product development projects from concept through prototype testing, ensuring adherence to project schedules. Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures or issues during testing or production phases. Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools and 3D modeling techniques for product design and visualization. Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on machine design, CNC machining, and assembly procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise component specifications.
Skills:
Extensive experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical design. Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and other 3D CAD modeling tools. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including tolerance analysis, machine design, and mechanical drafting. Familiarity with FEA software such as ANSYS or similar simulation tools for structural analysis. Experience with programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs), MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino for automation integration. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, fabrication techniques, and quality standards like ASME codes & standards. Ability to perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Project management skills with experience in project scheduling and coordinating multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation. Understanding of building information modeling (BIM) tools and schematics creation for complex assemblies.
