Job Title :
Mechanical Engineer Job Duties :
Design, develop and test all aspects of complex electromechanical assemblies for manufacturing and production, including formed metal parts, extrusions, injection molded components, machined and cast metal parts, structural items, fasteners, gaskets. Generate comprehensive documentation packages for products. Participate in product certification efforts and plan certification activities for both life safety and non-hazardous industry standards. Ensure designs comply to industry standards and required certifications. Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Design for manufacturability and work closely with vendors. Required education : Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Required experience : 12 months as Mechanical Engineer, Senior Applications Engineer (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Applications), or related. Additional minimum requirements : 12 months of work experience with each of the following: ProEngineer, Creo SolidWorks, advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Tolerance analysis including
ASME Y 14.5, GD&T
; Part design for various manufacturing processes including injection molding, casting, extrusion, fabrication, machining; Structural and thermal analysis, design for manufacturability (DFM) and reliability. 40 hours/ week.
