Job Description

An established industrial manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support daily production operations and coordinate closely with engineering, shop personnel, vendors, and management teams. This role focuses on improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting equipment operations, and ensuring smooth workflow across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Support production activities and monitor project progress through internal tracking systems. Research cost-effective materials, equipment, and sourcing solutions. Coordinate purchasing activities and maintain production records and documentation. Prepare reports related to labor, materials, inventory, and work orders. Manage inventory control and issue materials to production teams. Participate in equipment inspections, testing activities, and quality checks. Assist with process improvements, equipment usage analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives. Communicate with vendors, internal departments, and leadership regarding project and production updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment. Strong knowledge of fabrication and machining operations including CNC equipment, welding, polishing, assembly, and related manufacturing equipment. Experience with ERP systems and production reporting tools. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work fully onsite.
