Position Summary Atlantic Battery Systems is seeking a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience focused on creating production drawings for maintenance bypass systems and battery cabinet assemblies. This role emphasizes practical design, layout, and documentation rather than complex 3D product modeling. Key Responsibilities Design and Drafting (Primary Focus) Use SolidWorks to create clear, accurate production drawings Develop panel layouts, cabinet layouts, mounting and component placement drawings, and fabrication/assembly drawings Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) Translate project requirements into buildable shop drawings System Layout and Integration Design layouts for breakers, busbars, cable routing, and maintenance bypass configurations Ensure proper spacing, accessibility, and serviceability Manufacturing Support Work directly with cabinet builders and cable shop personnel Answer questions and revise drawings as needed Troubleshoot build issues and improve designs Documentation and Quality Maintain controlled drawing revisions Support ISO/QMS requirements including document control and change management Assist in creating work instructions and assembly guidance Required Qualifications Must Have SolidWorks experience focused on drawings and layouts (required) Ability to produce shop-ready drawings Experience in electro-mechanical or electrical layout work Ability to design for real-world manufacturing Preferred Experience with maintenance bypass systems or UPS systems Electrical enclosures or panel layout experience Familiarity with power distribution components such as breakers and busbars Key Traits Practical, hands-on thinker Strong attention to detail Able to translate designs into real builds Comfortable working between office and shop floor
