Job Description Job Summary The Mechanical Engineer Intern will support the Senior Mechanical Engineer with capital projects, equipment improvements, and plant maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project management, mechanical design, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and plant operations while working closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Operations, EHS, contractors, and equipment vendors. Key Responsibilities Support equipment troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and root cause investigations. Assist with maintaining maintenance documentation, as-built drawings, manuals, and LOTO procedures. Perform field inspections, data collection, and engineering analysis. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams to promote safe and efficient plant operations. Assist with capital project planning, execution, and documentation. Support development of equipment specifications, engineering drawings, and project scopes. Assist with AutoCAD drawings, design reviews, and equipment layouts. Participate in commissioning, startup, and contractor coordination activities. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong interest in manufacturing, industrial equipment, and project engineering. Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and CAD software (AutoCAD preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments.
