Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing company located in Bay Shore, NY is looking for a R&D Process Engineer to join their team. What you will do in this role: Identify and develop process optimization projects. Collaborate cross-functionally to execute these plans. Identify formula improvements or cost reductions. Internalize new equipment with hands on validation of process. Become subject matter expert in existing equipment. Develop SOPs for new and existing equipment and processes. Train Operations staff to use new and existing equipment and processes. Coordinate test runs and trials with production facilities and appropriate departments. Assist with new product scale up, including production trials. Coordinate in-house or 3rd-party analytical studies for projects as requested. Support Operations in selection and use of equipment for production. Provides support for other teams as requested. Provides technical expertise and training as requested. What you will bring to the role: Education BS in Engineering. Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, in the food & beverage industry preferred Experience with product development and large-scale commercialization Strong attention to detail Analytical Capabilities Computer proficiency including but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook Critical Thinking Excellent interpersonal skills Passion for the food industry Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment Ability to work with little or no supervision What our client is offering: A competitive salary and full medical/health benefits for the employee and their family.
