CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to support the design, installation, and startup of advanced manufacturing equipment. This is a hands-on, senior-level role ideal for engineers with strong mechanical design and troubleshooting expertise in industrial environments.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology required

• Travel Requirements:

• Domestic travel up to 25% to vendor or plant sites

• Key Responsibilities
• + Lead mechanical design of handling and process equipment from concept through deployment + Support installation, startup, and debugging of manufacturing equipment on-site + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, operations) + Verify equipment builds against engineering drawings and specifications + Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and installation issues in real time + Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful equipment delivery and setup + Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and machine guarding •Required Skills & Experience•+ 7+ years of mechanical equipment design experience in manufacturing environments + Strong proficiency in •SolidWorks•+ Experience with •structural FEA analysis•+ Proven ability to design, install, and debug complex mechanical systems + Hands-on experience supporting equipment commissioning and startup + Knowledge of industrial safety standards and machine guarding + Strong communication and teamwork skills •Qualifications•+ Ability to work independently and develop effective engineering solutions + Experience managing or coordinating with mechanical and electrical trades •Additional Information•+ No third party resumes will be accepted + Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted + CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
