You will be responsible for:
- Preparing designs and specifications, assisting in generation of layouts
- Preparing and checking drawing and processes changes as required for production and customers
- Assuring form, fit, and function of components through dimensional studies, and correlating engineering data to customer specifications
- Interfacing with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples
- Interfacing with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications
- Coordinating the manufacturing of customer prototypes
- Performing the functions required to process estimate requests and marketing product requests
- Performing engineering investigations of manufacturing/quality problems
- Reviewing customer documents for compliance with AMHS documents and if necessary, preparing new designs to conform to these documents
- Working closely with the Business Development Managers and Product Managers of various business units
- Regularly and proactively communicating with customers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Process, Purchasing, and experimental personnel If you have the skills, experience, and desire to join our talented team and contribute to the needs of today's modern aircraft, we want to talk to you about this opportunity. Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Experience in design or design engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Creo is preferred
