Days, Mon-Fri Manufacturer of Automation Systems/Equipment Rochester, NY Responsibilities:

Customer interaction to help establish machinery requirements and determining automated processes Design and manage complete machine assemblies while maintaining company design procedures Delivering design presentations with both internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied Tracking design progress of multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously, and ensuring design consistency Creation of documentation for the machine build process Interaction and cooperation with other departments. (Machining, Welding, Purchasing, Assembly)

Qualifications:

Extensive experience with 3D Modeling (i.e SolidWorks) and 2D Drafting Software (i.e AutoCAD) Experience with application of GD&T in design and details Experience in machine and mechanism design Experience with automation equipment i.e. robotics, drives, transmission devices Experience with fabrication methods and tolerances for manufacture of industrial automation equipment (i.e. machining, sheet metal, welding, finishing) Proven ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize simultaneous tasks Ability to work with other engineers and disciplines to relay technical information and effectively contribute in meetings/discussions/brainstorming sessions Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project or other Project Management Software
