R D Engineer

Corporation life insurance, long term disability, tuition assistance, 401(k) United States, York, Utica 525 French Road (Show on map) Aug 12, 2026 The R D Engineer II is a key contributor within the Patient Care division based in Utica, NY, responsible for supporting product design, development, and sustaining engineering activities. This role applies fundamental engineering principles to execute design, testing, and analysis efforts, ensuring products meet quality, regulatory, and business requirements. Key Responsibilities Support the design and development of disposable and capital equipment used in patient monitoring applications Execute design activities including theoretical calculations, tolerance analysis, and stress analysis Develop and support validation of test methods, protocols, execution, and reporting Perform verification and validation testing to ensure product performance and compliance Participate in root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for product and design issues Contribute to project planning, including timelines and cross-functional coordination Partner with cross-functional teams to support supply chain improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and product enhancements Ensure adherence to applicable quality systems, regulatory standards, and safety requirements Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans through regular team updates Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience; or advanced degree with limited experience Preferred Experience Familiarity with design control processes and regulated environments (e.g., FDA 21 CFR 820) Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and engineering drawing standards including GD&T Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, and assembly Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) Expected Travel 0-20% This position is not eligible for employer-visa sponsorship Disclosure as required by applicablelaw, the annual salary range for this position is $74,200- $115,000.
