Mechanical Engineer Description:

Mechanical Engineer Temp to Hire, Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm A mechanical engineer who will design and develop workflows and processes to produce products meeting customer requirments. Workflows and processes may require research and testing of new machines, tooling, materials and technologies.

Core Responsibilities Design & Cost Analysis:

Create cost estimates based on customer design requirments and create workflows to allow the designs to be produced economically.

Testing & Prototyping:

Build and test prototypes to check performance and munufacturability.

Manufacturing Support:

Apply design-for-manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize products for production cost, quality, and efficiency.

Troubleshooting:

Investigate design or manufactuing failures, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend effective remedies.

Collaboration:

Document design specifications and work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, and quality departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications Education:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD design software, advanced math (calculus, statistics), and manufacturing processes (sheetmetal bending and fabrication, welding, brazing, tube bending and 3D printing)

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, teamwork, and clear verbal and written communication.
