Job Description

Company Overview Pickering Associates is a dynamic team of professional architects, engineers and surveyors dedicated to delivering innovative solutions across the Mid-Atlantic and Appalachian regions. Since 1988, we have successfully managed over 15,000 projects, emphasizing excellence in project management, design, and engineering services. Overview We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems across diverse projects. We have two openings , one with an emphasis on plumbing design/engineering and one for heating-cooling-ventilation systems for various projects. Position requires thorough knowledge of AutoCAD suite of products. Duties Thorough knowledge and use of codes and standards applicable to Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design. Production of construction drawings and/or specifications. Work with a project team to complete design tasks within the directed scope, schedule, and budget. Perform detailed design using AutoCAD suite of products. Personal time management skills- the ability to work independently and as a team. Perform field measurements and investigations. (Possibility to) Lead internal project design team of multiple disciplines. Flexibility required to complete drawings using a multitude of client drafting standards. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Four (4) years or more of Mechanical and/or Plumbing design experience (highly preferred). Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university. Successfully passed NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) with goal to achieve professional licensure within 2 years. Proficient in 2D Auto
CAD. REVIT
experience is preferred. Effective communication and technical writing skills.
