May 2026 CSA Group is offering an exciting summer co-op placement for students pursuing a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. This hands-on opportunity allows you to work alongside experienced Product Safety Engineers and Laboratory Technicians, gaining valuable technical and project management skills in a collaborative lab environment. Please include a resume and a cover letter with your application. What You'll Do Shadow Product Safety Engineers and Lab Technicians to learn the product certification process and standards. Contribute to lab efficiency initiatives, including the development and automation of test forms. Apply basic electrical theory while exploring new technologies and innovative testing methods. Assist in preparing certification documents and other CSA-related documentation. Think creatively to improve testing and certification workflows. What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering program. Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, team-oriented lab setting. Able to submit a resume and unofficial or official transcript. Authorized to work in the United States. What You'll Bring Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools. Attention to safety requirements and familiarity with 5S principles. Self-motivation, accountability, and a proactive mindset. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Eagerness to learn and grow technical knowledge. Organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
