Job Description

Tool Designer This is a full-time direct hire opportunity - NOT temp or contract We are currently seeking candidates with 2D and 3D Design experience of Plastic Injection Molds, Dies, and Tooling for a Designer position with an
ISO9001, AS9100
certified leader in custom engineered advanced tooling solutions in Cuyahoga Falls. In this position you will be working with state-of-the-art equipment combined with a talented workforce to perform all aspects of the tool design process from the initial layout and 3D tool concept through final model, including subsequent releases to manufacturing. The Tool Designer will be subject to time and deadline pressures with the majority of time spent working at a CAD workstation.
Hours:
Day Shift, hours can vary, including a 4-day work week Typical hours are 7:30am - 5:00pm Up to 15 hours/week paid overtime
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00/hour based on experience Pay is on an hourly basis, and all time is considered direct labor on specific design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete designs following instructions/directions from Engineering Project Management or from a concept layout provided Review all customer standards, SOW, specs to ensure that the final design is in conjunction with all customer specifics Manage the design process through the completion of the project. Review all designs for D.F.M.A. Generate 3D and 2D complete designs according to department standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in 3D or 2D Designing of Plastic Injection Molds, Dies, or Tooling Basic Machining skills and Manufacturing process understanding NX, SolidWorks, CATIA or other 3D modeling experience is required Microsoft office and general Excel skills Must be conscious regarding documenting critical aspects of the design projects as well as documentation given or received by customers or others within the department Enjoy working in a team environment, interpersonal skills
