Job Description
Position Summary Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative VHP products and technologies. This role is responsible for driving engineering projects from concept through manufacturing release, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while supporting customer and business objectives. What You'll do as a Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead mechanical design and development activities for new and existing VHP products. Develop and review engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, test plans, and technical reports. Perform engineering analysis, testing, root cause investigations, and design verification activities. Drive technical decision-making and resolve complex product and process challenges. Lead technical reviews and ensure project objectives for quality, performance, schedule, and cost are achieved. Collaborate effectively with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and other engineering disciplines. Mentor engineers, designers, and technicians while fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. Interface with suppliers, vendors, and external partners as needed. May travel up to 10% domestically or internationally. The Experience, Abilities and Skills Needed Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering 5+ years of engineering experience with increasing technical responsibility Demonstrated experience leading mechanical design and product development projects Strong problem-solving, communication, and project execution skills Experience with engineering analysis, testing, and technical documentation Ability to influence cross-functional teams and mentor technical staff Experience with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, FEA, CFD, electromechanical systems, or related engineering disciplines preferred.
