What You Will Do:
This position will be within the District 7
Capital Programs Department:
specifically, the in-house Roadway Engineering team at the District Headquarters in Sidney, OH. Working under the District Roadway Design Engineer
  • You will review plans as a subject matter expert for maintenance of traffic and traffic control.
  • You will provide direction and comments to project managers, designers, and other project staff.
  • You will perform site visits to collect information or troubleshoot issues.
  • You will perform drafting/CADD as the program necessitates.

Qualifications Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e., conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license. -Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
