Job Description

A well-established manufacturer specializing in precision metal components is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to join its engineering team. This position is responsible for designing tooling and products used in a high-volume manufacturing environment while supporting new product development, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with tooling design, 3D modeling, manufacturing processes, and engineering analysis. Candidates from forging, cold forming, metal stamping, casting, injection molding, or other precision manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
  • Design tooling and manufactured products for production
  • Perform FEA material flow simulations and die stress analysis
  • Utilize SolidWorks and simulation software to develop tooling and product designs
  • Improve existing tooling and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
  • Support manufacturing process design and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyze existing products and recommend design improvements
  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to support production
  • Develop new products from customer concepts through production launch
  • Support engineering projects as assigned Qualifications
  • Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, preferred
  • 3-4+ years of design experience in forging. Tooling or die design experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D modeling
  • Experience with FEA or engineering simulation software
  • Knowledge of material selection and heat treatment, preferred
  • Basic understanding of
ANSI Y14.5
(GD&T) drafting standards, preferred
  • Cost estimating experience is a plus #ST101
Pay:
$80,000.00
  • $105,000.
