  • The Design Engineer I supports the design, development, and execution of custom architectural wood ceiling and specialty product solutions for commercial construction projects.

Working under the guidance of senior engineering and design personnel, the incumbent converts customer requirements, specifications, and architectural drawings into detailed engineering and manufacturing documents that support successful project delivery. This position applies engineering principles, drafting expertise, and product knowledge to develop accurate design solutions that meet customer expectations, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and project schedules. The role serves as a technical resource for internal stakeholders and customers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and new product development activities.

  • _Qualifications_
  • + Associate's Degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or related discipline is required. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field
  • Preferred + 1-3 years of engineering, drafting, manufacturing, construction, or related technical experience
  • Required + Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD, software. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Required + Architectural wood products, millwork, specialty ceilings, or commercial construction experience
  • Preferred + CNC programming experience. Exposure to manufacturing environments
