$140,000 Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design of custom automation systems, robotics, and machinery projects. Develop machine concepts, 3D CAD models, drawings, and component selections. Own projects from concept through build, FAT, and startup support. Drive design reviews to ensure safety, manufacturability, performance, and reliability. Manage technical risks, design tradeoffs, and support project planning/estimating. Collaborate with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5-10 years of experience designing custom automation equipment or complex machinery. Experience owning full machine designs from concept through commissioning. Strong background in machine architecture, system integration, and mechanical design. Advanced CAD proficiency and experience with PLM/configuration control. Ability to lead technical discussions, customer interactions, and cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel up to 10-25% as needed.
