Job Description

As a Staff Project Engineer you will provide technical expertise and manages capital projects from design, development, and execution in a safe and efficient manner. You can help achieve this goal if you can: Develop, design, perform cost estimation and prepare/submit Authorization for Expenditures (AFE) and Decision Review Board (DRB) documents for capital and expense projects. Understand and implement the budget, appropriations and project control processes for capital workload. Perform the final review and approval of designs, budgets, project plans, schedules, resources, QA/QC procedures and project reports. Recruit and oversee contract project managers. Track cost and schedule performance of projects relative to the capital budget. Manage the capital project program spend while project schedule and performance are not compromised. Prepare specifications and procure materials and equipment for a timely and efficient execution of projects. Provide technical support to all refinery departments that will result in safe, efficient and cost effective installations. Oversee and coordinate contract personnel for engineering, design and installation of capital, expense and maintenance projects. Perform cost tracking and status reporting for assigned projects. Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a managed budget and execution schedule. Provide support to Refinery during planned and unplanned outages, including availability to respond to and support critical business needs during off-hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Follow all safety rules and guidelines as established by the Refinery. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
