This position reports to:
Senior Project Engineering Manager __ In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects. The work model for the role is: Onsite in Bartlesville, OK. #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Engineered-to-Order(ETO) Automation UL Panel Program in Bartlesville, OK.Your role and responsibilities:
Evaluating customer requirements, defining solution architecture, selecting appropriate components, applying UL standards, engineering & drawing standards, techniques & procedures to perform engineering assignments. Providing technical support for manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Assisting in preparing proposals and presentation of engineering projects. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines. Our Team Dynamics Our teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent is required. 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design of automation control panels is preferred. Demonstrated track record in UL Automation Panel design and the elements of UL panel design is preferred Proficient use of Solidworks Mechanical 3D modeling, AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, Electrical schematics, MS Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ePlan for control panel design and manufacturing support, knowledge of PLM systems and document control methods and windchill experience would be a plus. Innovative and creative mind, knowledge of latest automation panel hardware and its application, attention to detail and quality focused Knowledge of UL 508A is preferred Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
